Everything one needs to know about the "Grey Scenario 1" edition is written on the cover. It's about an album with mostly instrumental, ambiental electronic music and an elegiac mood (Gray), which is easy to imagine as a soundtrack of a movie (Scenario). The number on the cover (authentic inscription on the location where the photo was taken) indicates that the author of the music, Ivica Družak, conceived the edition as the opening paragraph of a series, the continuation of which is already in preparation. By choosing guests on his vinyl Gray Scenario debut, Družak confirms the micro scene within which he had formed himself. Darko Matošević, Zoran Stošić and he collaborated in the mid-1980s within the band Vinil DeSant, and at the time of its renaming to Nezabravan san o... Andreja Plantarić Barić joined them briefly.
It is not hard to imagine how this music would sound when layered with sounds created by the vibration of the strings on the instruments, but this ambience, woven by the play of electro pulsations, doesn't leave much room for the vocal cords to vibrate. These places in songs are usually occupied by choruses, as successful as they make us hum or whistle after listening. So, measured by that meter, Gray Scenario will most certainly not shine like a holiday shop window, but due to its nostalgic atmosphere will be rather reminiscent of the withered flowers in the shop window of some forgotten workshop, in a forgotten street of a forgotten place, which may not even exist...
