Swedish composer, born 16 June 1923 in Mollösund, Bohuslän, died 8 August 1996 in Stockholm.Among other things, he wrote four symphonies in 1969–1984. He also composed poems by Ebba Lindqvist, Anna Greta Wide, Pär Lagerkvist and Karl Vennberg.
Hermanson worked as a running boy, postman and pub pianist before his debut as a composer in 1951. In 2007, the collection box Alarme, with a large selection of Hermanson's works, was published.
