American radio personality and TV host.
Known as "The Guy WIth The Goods", Woods was a top soul and r&b disc jockey in Philadelphia between 1953 and the late 1970's alternating between stints on WHAT and WDAS. In the 1960s, used the airwaves to talk about the American civil rights movement. He was often known to stop playing music to talk about the efforts of African-Americans and others who were campaigning for equality, and about the work of the movement's leaders such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr..
