US jazz guitarist, born December 17, 1915 in Boston, Massachusetts, died February 28, 2011 in Riverdale, New York.
White played with Woody Herman (1939-1944), and Lew Brown (from 1944). Also recorded with Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Gene Krupa, Ella Fitzgerald, Coleman Hawkins and many others. Mainly active as studio musician and teacher during 1960s.
