Instrumental "left field" RIO / avantgarde progressive rock band founded in Phoenix, Arizona, USA in 1978 and disbanded in 1984. They made two albums that epitomised the fusing of RiO and Canterbury styles much like the British band National Health. Live recordings also exist, and a cassette titled "Boot-Legged". Members of Cartoon went on to PFS.
