Sinking_Gardens is basically The Daysleepers 2.0 - similar vibe but a heavier, more aggressive sound with more clarity in the mix. Jeff Kandefer wanted the guitars to stay huge and ambient but the drums and bass to punch through way more. You'll hear "The Daysleepers" but also bands like "Cave In", "Title Fight", "Interpol", "Catherine Wheel" and even "Circa Survive" - like post hardcore elements.
