Rolf Lindblom

Swedish pianist and professor, born in Stockholm on June 28 1944.He began his pianist's career as a jazz musician, forming his own trio. After studying to be a soloist and teacher of piano at the Stockholm College of Music between 1964 and 1969, he continued his education in the piano under Professor Stina Sundell.
Lindblom has moved between different musical genres over the years. He has accompanied prominent singers such as Erik Saedén, Birgit Nilsson, Margareta Hallin, Zarah Leander and Håkan Hagegård. As a composer, he has written music for Swedish television and film productions.
Lindblom is a professor at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he teaches in classical piano improvisation.
