Jimmy Joyce

American bass vocalist, comedian and actor.Born September 23, 1921 in Roxbury, Massachusetts, USA.
Died March 15, 2011 in Cedar Glen, California, USA.
Joyce began as a church choir vocalist, sang his way through high school and with a Coast Guard band. After WWII service, Joyce was a music major at Syracuse University. He also studied at the New England Conservatory and at Boston University. For ten seasons, he sang with the New England Opera Company and was a Boston Symphony soloist.
But then he switched to become a comedian, gaining the moniker "the Jolly Jester".
