The Mol percussion-orchestra has its roots in 1972. In 1974 the orchestra made their début television appearance for Belgian Radio & television. Four years later they made their first LP "A taste of percussion", and they featured in a series of concerts in the framework of the festival of Flanders. Four singles with modern percussion music and the orchestra's International success opened the doors to the Belgian radio & television network (BRT) once and for all. (The percussion polka became the theme tune of the Dutch television company NCRV and Bossa de Amberes scored well as a tune for Belgian network BRT).

The Mol Percussion Orchestra (voorheen The Mol Percussion Band) is een ensemble van zes professionele percussionisten. De musici: Sylvain Fransoo, Luc Goos, Walter Mertens, Leo Ouderits, François Tielemans en Rudy Van der Veken.
