The What-Knots were a six-piece group consisting of Billy Wilfong - sax/ vocal, Don Gregory - guitar/lead vocal, Benny Thayer – keyboard/ lead vocal, Tom Dowdy - bass, and Donald Capone drummer. They later added several members to form a new band called The Brotherhood that issued a single "Are You A Turtle (Yes I Am)" in 1969, also on Dial.
