Fruity

Effective period / Period of releases: 1996

Members: Jun Saito, Tsuka Mods, Jelly-O, You-Kids

Ska-punk/skacore band from Japan, active from 1995 until 1997. Fruity's biggest musical influence was Operation Ivy.

In 1997, the band's original singer Jun "JxJx" Saitoh switched to drums upon departure of original drummer, and then-14-year-old Yuki joined as their new singer. With this new lineup, they toured the U.S. (West Coast) with Against All Authority and Falling Sickness before calling in quits shortly after in Fall 1997.

JxJx formed fastcore band School Jackets prior to breaking up Fruity and went on to form ska band Your Song Is Good.
