IR was born in East Germany in 1983. At the age of 11 he started to play drums in a local punk band . At the same time he got infected by Drum´n´Bass, Techno, Electro and Trip Hop. Logically he went out to some raves that caused a need to start dj-ing and producing his own stuff some years later. He would never call himself a musician, maybe a techy guy with interests in rhythm, bass, technology, cappuccino and sometimes jazz on weekday´s evenings. IR and Limikola-head Heron know each other since primary school and became closer friends when a huge wave of techno hit former East Germany in 1998.
