Bob Crewe helped him in the early stages of his career.
He became house producer for Wes Farrell's Chelsea Records.
Produced hits for Jim Gilstrap ("Swing Your Daddy"), Dee Clark ("Ride A Wild Horse") and Linda Carr ("High Wire").
Co-penned LaBelle's "Lady Marmalade," and Frankie Valli's "My Eyes Adored You."
He released four solo albums between 1977 - 1982.
