oFFice chAIRs (spelled like that just because) is a side-side project of Moe Staiano (from Surplus 1980/Sleepytime Gorilla Museum) with his partner, Karen Cravotto, making a mighty vocal debut, who released one 4-track 7" of synth wave music inspired by early 1980's acts. The project came about when Karen kept spotting discarded office chairs on residential and urban street curbs and kept joking that "Office Chairs will be our band! When do we start playing?" When Moe saw a photo of an office chair thrown down a stairwell by musician Steve Silverstein, he decided, "That's a great image for an album cover!" Thus, he bought a microKORG and went to work much to Karen's surprise and amusement (or bemusement for that matter).
