Real name: 島田奈央子 (Naoko Shimada)

Nami debuted in 1986 after winning the Momoco talent contest. She broke the top ten with "Uchiki na Cupid", and her hits garnered her a sizable following. Later in her career, she wrote some lyrics for her own albums, including her last single "Motto... Zutto... I Love You". Her last song was on the soundtrack for "City Hunter '91". After retiring from her idol career in 1990, she has been working as a DJ and writer.
