Ocean Drive

Effective period / Period of releases: 2009

Members: Gilles Fahy, Nicolas Carel, Just Uman, Morgan Nagoya, Maeva Atkinson

French Electro House project formed in 2008 by Electro House producer Just Uman and Pop producer Nicolas Carel.
The group is named after the Ocean Drive avenue in South Beach, Miami, USA where Carel and Uman met by change in a nightclub.
They released a first song on Myspace, which was picked up by then-amateur French female DJ Oriska, who contacted them to collaborate and improve the song. Released in 2009, the single Some People (Ton Désir) had quite a success in France, Belgium and Switzerland. After 1 album and 3 following singles, Oriska left the group to focus on her solo career.
In 2010, Ocean Drive re-recorded the song "Some People" with a new singer, Aylar, to access the UK market.
In 2012, the group is now fronted by long-time male vocalist & songwriter Gilles Luka (aka Gilles Fahy) - former leader of French project Galleon - joined by new recruits, young female vocalist Solenn-Océane and experienced French DJ Maeva Carter. However, at the end of 2012, Maeva has left the group.
