In 1956 while working as a record promoter for Chicago labels and distributors Howard Bedno partnered up with TV-repairman Eli Toscano to form Cobra Record Corp.. He later partnered with Peter H. Wright in Twinight Records but turned fully independent promotion man in the early 1970's and stayed in the promotion business until his death.
