Copa Turbo represents sound and fury, control and speed. The Pontecesures-Valga-Catoria axis became an endless rally always running on gas.

The Copa Turbo arose in the summer of 2017 with the meeting between Manuelao, Ales and Revillas. Ales and Revillas, classmates from high school, had participated together in projects that never came to anything. Before the birth of Copa Turbo, they were looking for a drummer to form a new group. Manuelao, for his part, had participated in other projects such as Sofá Ambulante, and, at the time of the union, he played in Ciega & Peligrosa together with Juanone (current member of the group).

The connection between the three of them was quick and, in just over a month, a set of the first twelve songs of Copa Turbo was composed”, they point out. They take the name of one of the cars with the most black legend, the one that refers to speed, accidents, bell turns... they even called it a coffin on wheels. “The name appears by chance, the result of the dynamics of the rehearsals, in which we spend more time talking than playing, with conversations that lead to various topics and ideas with no apparent meaning. In the search for a name for the band, disparate proposals appeared, leaving Copa Turbo.

Coincidentally, over time, it took on a musical and vital meaning that was originally unrelated to our intentions."

Their sound refers to many things: punk rock, rock, chaos, delirium, noise, Thee Oh Sees, Idles, King Gizzard or Thee Oh Sees to Músculo or Explosive Lamprey.
