American country / swing band: formed 8 April 1933 in Houston, Texas; disbanded July 1942.

Members: Jose Cortes, Kokomo Crocker, Slim Hall, Lefty Ingram, Curly Noland, Jimmy Riddle, Pee Wee Wemble.

The Swift Jewel Cowboys were formed as a promotional band for Swift & Company oil refiners, to promote salad dressing and other products of the Jewel Oil & Shortening Company. The band made appearances at store openings, rodeos, and other public places and performed on sponsored radio shows. Their only commercial recordings were made in June 1939 in Memphis. The group disbanded after several members left for military duty during World War II.
