Biography
Sum Herald
Sum Herald is a Blackened Death Metal formation from Verona (Italy) composed by Federico Bisicchia and Andrea Mirandola
Biography:
The project was born in the first months of 2019 from an idea by Federico, who returned to composing two years after the departure of Warbutcher, with a new concept in mind to accompany with new music.
During the writing of the songs, Andrea, Matteo and Oscar joined the band, who in a short time managed to write and publish their first self-produced mini album "Reptilia".
Shortly after the album was printed, Oscar separated from the band, which temporarily continued with three members, who are still working on the future album.
Around mid-July 2021, the band managed to replace the vacant second guitar role, enlisting Giorgio, with whom he worked together with the other members to write the album.
Concept:
The name Sum Herald originates from "Sum", an ancient cosmic serpentine entity that came into contact with the first bastions of human civilization in the Middle East, with the aim of separating individuals destined for inexorable extinction from others deserving of being saved and led into the system of "Reptilia", fulcrum of the new cosmic order.
Reptilia tells of the origins of Sum, from an abstract entity wandering in the cosmos without purpose or destination, to a physical creature aware of its nature.
At the moment in which his wandering is interrupted by a catastrophe of astral origin, Sum takes the form of an enormous serpent capable of experiencing concrete emotions that find their origin in fear, which in a short time turns into anger and determination, with the aim of balancing forces that go beyond the domain of any living being.
Thrown to the boundaries of space and time he finds himself in the presence of Mirer, an eternal figure of light representing the passing of time.
The latter's relentless thirst for souls tests Sum, who faces and overcomes the obstruction of this magnificent but deceptive figure.
Returning to the cosmos, Sum is attracted by the pleas of the reptilians, now under siege by dark forces bringing fire and destruction.
At the height of a war now considered lost, the enormous serpent engages in battle in front of the gates of Reptilia, driving away the enemies and thus saving the inhabitants of the system by welcoming them as its followers.
From here it is the beginning of a new path with the aim of finding new peoples worthy of being welcomed into the new order, embracing the cause of Sum...
