Jenni Rivera (born July 2, 1969, Long Beach, California, USA - died December 9, 2012, Iturbide, Nuevo León, Mexico) was an American singer, songwriter, actress, television producer, spokesperson, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, known for her work within the banda and norteña music genres. She won several Billboard Latin Music Awards. Rivera, along with six others, died in a plane crash.
