American a cappella vocal group, founded in San Francisco, California in 1981. Would occasionally be introduced as "The Original Oral Roberts"; more often explained the name BOB as an abbreviation of the dog show term "Best of Breed". Their early albums included many covers of other artists' songs with sung accompaniment, including a Grammy® nomination for their arrangement of The Beatles’ "Helter Skelter", but original material dominated later releases. October 21st, 2017 after 36 years of gigging and several thousand live shows, the Bobs gave their last group performance.
