ILLIT was formed through the R U Next? South Korean girl group reality competition series organized by Belift Lab. The group was originally called I'LL-IT before their debut, allowing for members and fans to place any verb between the two words, such as I'LL LIKE IT!, which was a behind-the-scenes YouTube series leading up to their debut.
