Blues guitarist and singer Bobby was born just outside Raeford, North Carolina, USA on 24th February 1942 and taught himself guitar as a child. He walked out of a cotton field when he was 15 and after moving to Dunn and Norfolk, Virginia, he eventually made it to Philadelphia by the time he was 18. He formed a band and made some 45's meeting artists like Pancho Villa. He retired from the music business in the 1980's, having been a writer for Gamble & Huff. He opened his own beauty salon in Philadelphia
His daughter is Barbara Sheree
