Portuguese pianist, composer, arranger, and conductor of Basque origin, born in Segura, Guipúzcoa, Spain, 1924, died in Lisbon, 2003. Moved to Portugal in 1955. Worked extensively as a studio arranger, most notably with José Cid. In 1981, he conducted the Portuguese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest, 'Play-back' by Carlos Paião. Father of Ramón Galarza.
