Born January 1912 in Cape Town
In 1928 he recorded under his own name as " the crooning pianist " for Edison Bell. Later Harry Jacobson played with Len Fillis' Entertainers, and also with the Savoy Hotel Orpheans, Alfredo's Orchestra and was a member of Ray Noble's New Mayfair Dance Orchestra for several years. Recorded piano solos of "It All Belongs to Me", "Dance of the Blue Marionettes" and "Sweeping the Clouds Away", the cover version of a song that Maurice Chevalier had sung in the sound film Paramount on Parade . For Decca Records he recorded EP Harry at the Local - Piano Medley of All Time Favorites (Decca LC0039).
