The Dirty Basements
The Dirty Basements is a female-fronted pop-punk band from Heidelberg. It all began in 2017 when guitarist Lisa was invited on stage by Green Day to play a song with them in front of 12,000 people ( see it here below using the "Videos" - button). The evening was to be the start of a long-standing friendship, as singer Katy was in the audience to witness the spectacle. The two formed a band with their closest friends that same year and began writing their first songs in a small, dirty basement. 6 years later, The Dirty Basements are supported by the Initiative Musik and release their debut album “Everything Is Fine”. The songs tell personal stories from a world in which things are anything but “fine” and their feel-good vibe makes you want to sing and feel along. The Dirty Basements draw attention to one thing in particular: You are good enough!
