NERVO is comprised of twin sisters Miriam and Olivia Nervo, born 17 February 1982 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Mim and Liv pursued a career as songwriters (their credits include Kylie Minogue, Nicole Scherzinger and Armin van Buuren) before embarking on a DJ career. After the global success of David Guetta's Grammy-winning "When Love Takes Over" (co-written by NERVO) in 2009, the twins rapidly rose to fame as a DJ duo. They first entered the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs in 2012, reaching #46, before climbing to #16 in 2013.

At age sixteen both were signed to Australian Chadwick Modeling Agency. Also both were accepted into the Opera Australia Academy.
