Mourn were a short-lived doom metal band from London, England. Active from 1991 - 1996, this band was best known as being one of the key bands from the early doom era of Rise Above Records and being one of the earlier female-fronted doom bands once vocalist Caroline Wilson joined in 1993 (Who went on to become a club/pop singer.).

This band was formed 1991 in London by guitarist Will Palmer. Mourn started to play locally from 1991 to 1993 when they recorded the demo "For Evermore", a 4 track tape that grabbed the attention of Rise Above Records president Lee Dorrian immediately. Signing to the label, the band would release their only studio album in 1995, still playing shows in clubs alongside bands such as Electric Wizard and Orange Goblin (Then known as Our Haunted Kingdom).

By early 1997, inner turmoil within the band ultimately left Draysey and Wilson to leave the band, with Mourn quietly disbanding that year as members went on to newer projects at the time such as Hangnail and Sloth.

In 2007, 12 years after it's initial release, Rise Above Records would re-release the Mourn album with the For Evermore demo and a song on Dark Passages II as bonus tracks on CD and (for the first time) vinyl.
