American singer and songwriter (born 9 June 1888 in Columbia South Carolina - died 19 April 1937, New York City). He worked in vaudeville and had songs issued on the Ajax label in 1925. His best songs were adapted by blues and jazz musicians.Composer of early jazz standard "There'll Be Some Changes Made".
