Czech jazz orchestra, founded by Emanuel Uggé and Jan Šíma in 1935, disbanded 1937. They were the first Czechoslovak orchestra focusing strictly on jazz, inspired by Duke Ellington, Gifford-Casa Loma, Fletcher Henderson, ODJB, Spike Hughes and others, but also performing compositions by orchestra members or other domestic composers. For the Ultraphon company they have recorded 10 tunes, released on 78-rpm records.
