Rock band hailing from Florence, Italy, settled in June 2019 as “Big Breast on Fat Boys” by Samuele Riccucci (guitar and vocals) and Matteo Innocenti (drums). During the first three years of rehearsals they began writing their own songs. They finally made their first live show in Piazza Umberto I, Grassina (Florence). More live shows mainly played in the Valdarno area (aka Chiantishire…) followed that first live performance, worth noting the ones done on August 31 2022 at Casa del Popolo in Montevarchi and on October 15 2022 at BVS Brewery. Thanks to this series of live performances, the band start building up a local fan base. To get a more powerful sound the two decided to add a second guitar and Olmo Fantini, a Samuele’s friend, made his debut with the band on March 8 2023 at the successful live show played by the band at Combo Social Club in Florence. With this line up they played the last show as “Big Breast on Fat Boys” at the CSA Polveriera in Florence on December 9 2023, enjoying considerable success. Stuck in the name "Big Breast on Fat Boys", which no longer reflects their musical and creative needs, they decided to change name to "Spleen", emblematic of their move to dark and more refined sounds, still maintaining a dirty and aggressive approach. That’s more or less when the band caught the attention of Contempo Records who decided to produce them. On the 1st of February 2024 Spleen signed a worldwide exclusive deal with Contempo Records.
