Melodic Death/Folk metal band from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2001, released debut album "So It Begins" under the name Profugus Mortis in 2007. In January '08 violinist Emilie Livernois was replaced by guitarist Kim Gosselin, and the band renamed to Blackguard. In 2009 they released the album "Profugus Mortis" as a homage to their past.
