A French composer, orchestra conductor and music teacher, born 3 July 1925 in Valmondois, France, died 11 September 2014 in Val-d'Oise, France. He was associated with the New Wave and regularly collaborated with Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut and Bertrand Tavernier. He received six Cesar Award nominations during his career and his credits included "Weekend" (1967), "Stolen Kisses" (1968), "Death Watch" (1980) and "Ridicule" (1996).
