Real name: 梅原 大 (Masaru Umehara)

Umehara Masaru (梅原大), known by his pseudonym U.M.E.D.Y., was a Japanese rapper and notable figure in the underground hip-hop scene of Japan, who began working with Hello! Project in 1999. He is also a former producer of the hip-hop units EDU (38) and Spicy Chocolate, and the former MC of the R&B unit Sin. Was married to the R&B singer Miss Monday.
U.M.E.D.Y. passed away on December 21, 2017 from glioblastoma.
