Real name: Ebenezer Quartey

Papafio Quartey who comes from Ghana was, before he immigrated to West Germany, a tutor and demonstrator of traditional African dance and music at the Institute of African Studies of the University of Ghana, Legon. As an expert in his field he was a great assistance to both local and foreign researchers and ethnologists in their goal to explore more about West African culture.

He was for many years also a strong member of the once famous "Ghana Dance Drama Ensemble".
