The French Impressionists

Jazzy Scottish band, active from June 1981 to spring 1983. Initially the brainchild of Glaswegian songwriter and pianist Malcolm Fisher, he was joined by singer Beatrice Colin (later replaced by various other singers), drummer Barry Ross (2) and bassist Paul Yacoubian.
Their first release was a track on the Les Disques Du Crépuscule compilation Various - The Fruit Of The Original Sin. The Frimps (as they styled themselves) later released a 7" and a 12" single, also on Les Disques Du Crépuscule.

In 2007 Malcolm Fisher assembled a new version of the group and released two albums, Fête and Amelia Rosselli, on the LTM label.
