Jackie Christie

Real name: Jackie Christie

Effective period / Period of releases: 1999 - 2005

Detroit-born Jackie Christie started spinning at age 16. Cherished by MTV’s "The Grind", she soon moved to New York and landed her first residency at the famed Limelight. Throughout the 90s, Jackie was a resident at some of the most sought-after clubs in the US, such as the Storm Raves, NASA at The Shelter, the Tunnel, Life, Spa, and at the Studio 54 revival hosted by Bacardi and Details Magazine. She also spent four days a month in LA taping a radio show for TheTruth.com and mixed for a Fujisankei Communications International Production, Soulook-Seize The Night. The latter was a music variety show that aired in Japan and on NYC cable.

In summer 1997, Jackie Christie, under the name Shine, released her first single "Bitch", followed up with "Stimulating and Exciting". Full-length mixed CDs for Bacardi’s Seize The Night followed, as well a series of mix CDs and remixes. Her debut album, Made 4 U, was released in 2004. Jackie’s music was also heard in the 2005 film “Beauty Shop,” starring Queen Latifah, Showtime's “Street Time” series and Jenna Jameson’s "One Hundred Hottest Hotties" on VH1.

Jackie's skills, reputation, and passion for people have also earned her spots spinning at mega-clubs alongside Sasha, John Digweed, Moby and Carl Cox; hosting the closing party of Club Universe with Cindy Lauper in San Francisco, and being mentioned in Brett Easton Ellis’ book "Glamorama". Jackie continues to DJ in her homebase of New York City and around the world.
