Xenofanes is a thrash/death metal band, based in Strängnäs, Sweden.

Formed in February 1993, by Jocke Hasth (guitar) and Morgan Wiklund (drums and vocals) with Danne Sporrenstrand (guitar) joining soon after.
Crille Lundin (bass) and Klabbe Alaphia (vocals) joined Xenofanes in the summer of 1994, completing the lineup, and the band was initially active until November 23, 1996.

The decision to restart/reform the band came about in 2009, after Jocke and Crille "met over a cup of coffee", and Klabbe, Danne, and Morgan were all asked if they wished to join again, with Klabbe being the only former member interested.
After recording a 2 song demo, with studio owner Henke Borg filling in on drums, the band recruited Mange Edqvist, in August 2011, completing their lineup
