Formed by John Baine (Attila The Stockbroker) and Steve Drewett circa 1984, Law Lords International were a knockabout / piss-take group who occasionally performed live. Other members included Ruth Lomond. The Livingston Rap was a one-off release written with the help of a backing track by Richie Stevens. Steve Drewett and fellow Newtown Neurotic, Colin Masters used to sometimes perform live as The Ken Livingston Band with a drum machine backing them. This gave Attila the idea for the group and the song.
