Started as a 13 year old young singer, performing over KFSA in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, doing both radio and television work. appearances on other shows such as the Big Red Jamboree that aired over Channel 8 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Featured act for the famed Ark-Okla Rodeo held in Ft. Smith . Shared co-writing credit with KWKH Louisiana Hayride star, Jimmie Helms on a couple of tunes then, "Puppy Love" and "Squeeze Me and Hold Me".
