Effective period / Period of releases: 1982

Members: Tord Bengtsson, Pelle Klockar, Janne Bäckman, Per Ström (3)

Swedish pop-rock band formed in Orsa in 1980. Also called just Hellzephyrs.

They quickly had two radio hits - with their first single. The songs were called "Varför sitter gamla kärringar med hatten på?" and "Ta en kopp på Frelins!" (a translation of Lou Reed's Walk on the Wild Side).

In 2000, both vinyl records were reissued together with a CD of newly recorded material in the CD box "Hellzeboxen".

In 2005, the group celebrated its 25th anniversary and worked together with, among others, Py Bäckman in an album project with Dylan songs. A single compilation album "Hellzehits – och dom som borde varit det" was released in January 2006.

Hellzephyrs played their last public gig at Orsa Hotell on Good Friday 21 March 2008.
