The character was created in 1983 by David Claridge for Good Morning Britain. Claridge also had his own label 'The Mobile Suit Corporation' through Polygram. Rodent Pop Tunes were all released on Rodent Records and distributed through BBC Records and RCA/Magnet. Two albums and a variety of singles, picture discs and 12" dance tracks were released on vinyl and cassette.
