Real name: Steve J. Lewis
American early jazz pianist, born March 19, 1896 in New Orleans, Louisiana, died c. 1941 in Louisiana.Played with Silver Leaf Orchestra c. 1910, later with the Olympia Orchestra, joined Armand J. Piron's orchestra in 1918, playing with him until 1928. Worked for various leaders and led own band during the 1930s. Committed to an asylum in 1940.
