Mr. Opalach is a winner of the Walter M. Naumburg Vocal Competition, The Metropolitan Opera Auditions, and the International Vocalistern Concours of s'Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. He has performed with the New York City Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Netherlands Opera, Opera Theater of St. Louis, the Santa Fe Opera, Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, New York Philharmonic Orchestra, The San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, and the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. He has collaborated with Marin Alsop, Daniel Barenboim, Dennis Russell Davies, Lorin Maazel, Simon Rattle, and Helmut Rilling. He is currently a Professor of Voice at the Eastman School of Music.
