Largely unsuccessful Chicago soul girl group who released 5 singles during 1965-68. The Kittens formed in 1963, when they signed to Chess Records in 1967, they were a trio, consisting of 18 year old Bernice Willis (lead singer) and 19 year old cousins Thelma Mack and Laurel Ross. Better known for their "Hey Operator" tune.
