In 2000, after the death of Πυροβάτης, Βαβυλώνα merged with the group Sydelia to form Βαβυλώνα 2000. Most members of Βαβυλώνα did not agree with this change and decided not to be part of it. Θηρίο and Παράφρων were the only members of Βαβυλώνα 2000 that were members of the initial form. Βαβυλώνα 2000 released a CD single but in 2001 they changed the name back to Βαβυλώνα with the release of Τα Τέρατα Παίζουν Ακόμα.
