Real name: Egbert 'Alphonso' Stewart
b. 31 January 1945 , Clarendon, Jamaica, WIBest known as one half of the Hamlins, a rocksteady and early reggae vocal duo. As a solo artist, Al Stewart (as he was usually credited) primarily performed gospel music, although he also recorded a few non-religious reggae singles.
