English Folk Singer, born into a mining family in Birtley (North-East England).He is to be found singing with the rest of his family on the LP "The Elliotts of Birtley" which was recorded by Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger and issued by Folkways and later on XTRA in the UK.
Not to be confused with the American singer Ramblin' Jack Elliott.
