U. S. Rockabilly and Country songwriter. Top charting song was "Hot Rod Race", which charted 4 times under different artists, the highest being by Tiny Hill in 1951; it hit #7 on the U. S. Country charts and #29 overall. It also hit #5 country by Arkie Shibley in 1950, #5 country by Red Foley in 1951, and #7 country by Ramblin' Jimmie Dolan in 1951. He also charted with the duet "I Don't Want to Be Free" by Margaret Whiting and Jimmy Wakely in 1951 at #5 country and "Another Fool Steps In" by Jimmy Wakely, also in 1951 on the country charts at #13. Both of those songs were co-written by Jimmy Wakely.
